Applications will be accepted from May 20th through May 29th, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Hammond Police Department, 509 Douglas Street (Chief's Office).

The Hammond Police Department will be participating in the nationwide traffic safety campaign Operation Safe Family Travel beginning this Friday and running through November 30th. The focus of this campaign is occupant restraint and impaired driving enforcement. Funding for this campaign has been provided by NHTSA ( through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
