The Hammond Police Department will be participating in the nationwide traffic safety campaign Operation Safe Family Travel beginning this Friday and running through November 30th. The focus of this campaign is occupant restraint and impaired driving enforcement. Funding for this campaign has been provided by NHTSA (http://www.nhtsa.gov/) through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. (http://www.in.gov/cji/)
   
The Hammond Police Department will be accepting applications for Officers who are academy certified. Applications will be taken from Friday, November 7, 2014 to Friday, November 21, 2014 in the Chief’s Office. (Click for more details.)
