The
Hammond Police Department K-9 Unit cordially invites
you to participate in the 2nd Annual
Adopt a K-9 Program. The Adopt-A-K9 Program was
the original fund raising program for the Hammond
Police K-9 Unit. The Hammond K-9 Unit's Adopt
a K-9 Program was created by Officer Aubrey Thomas
as a fundraising project that allows schools and private
citizens to help support our K-9 Unit.
The
Adopt a K-9 Program was initiated to raise funds
that are used to help update the ongoing training
of our K-9 teams and also to purchase equipment needed
to perform everyday K-9 duties and maintenance such
as leashes, muzzles, hazard boots, heating pads,
heated water bowls, dog houses and other kennel items
for the dogs. Our dogs can be “adopted” for a
tax-free donation of $150.00. With each “adoption”,
the contributor will receive a framed picture and
biography of the individual K-9 they have chosen to
“adopt” along with quarterly updates on the achievements
of that particular K-9 Unit.
The
Hammond Police K-9 Unit would like to thank all
of our sponsors in advance for their continued participation
in this program which has helped to make our K-9 Unit
one of the most successful K-9 Units in the Midwest.
All
Checks and Money Orders should be made out to the

Police Department/Adopt-A-K9 Fund
